| Was in kind of a meloncholy mood so I figured i'd do this sharing thing and put my own spin on things. I call these $'s Just a mish mash of things, whatever happens to come to my mind. (Sort of inspired by FB so humor me.. the few people who actually read this hehe) The last 5 moives I saw in the theater.
1)
This movie i'm not ashamed to say, scared the shit out of me. Some people maybe it didn''t but for some reason it hit me really hard. I have a thing about things happening to me when I sleep and this movie just pushed all the right buttons up to the 'ump out of your seat' ending.. It's Blair Witch in your house. And if your not safe in your own bedroom.. where are you safe? 2) This was a good thriller in the sense that the twist in the middle of it is really good. It keeps throwing you off until the big reveal, and everything you thought you knew was turned upside-down. I went to see it patrially cause I was bored and partially because Kiele Sanchez of Lost fame was in it and I was curious. and was pleastnly surprised to find a petty good movie as well. 3) What else can I say but that I love these movies. I go see them without kids. 4) 'Not your average animated movie, a post-apolytptic look at the world through the eyes of little maehanical creatures. Artistically stunning and different from the nrom, highly recommended. Elijah Wood is the voice of 9, the hero in this incredibly well-done movie. 5) Awesome edition to the X-Men Series I might add, and with one of my favorite characters Wolverine of course, as well as Gambit and others. Very cool, Hugh Jackman kicks ass once again. 5 TV Shows I'm watching tNow1) NCIS-one of the best casts on television, especially featuring the lovely Cote de Pablo as the kick-ass Ziva David and the sprightly Pauly Perette as the worlds happiest Goth Abby Sciuto, couple of my favorite ladies on tv. The latest season has definatly been the best so far and can't wait for more 2) Flashforward= best new show on tv in my opinion, keeps me guessing every week. Now featufing Lost alums Dominic Monaghan as the mysterious Simon and Sonja Wagner as Olivia. 3) Lost- nuff said.. going into final season it look like we'll see all our old favorites as well.. Still even now one of the best shows on tv, in my opinion since X-Files went off the air. 4) Law and Order: SVU- still love it after all these years... Featuring the beautiful Mariska Hargitay (daughter of Jane Mansfield) as the ass-kicking Olivia Benson and Ice T as the the awesome Finn Totuolla. Best cop show around. 5) V (a remake of an old TV Series) - has me hooked already on the first episode, puus it features the lovely Elizabeth Mitchell as well.. 5 Albums I've bought recently
1) "Everybody" By Ingrid Michelson One of my favorite new artists, a funky songwriter wth a definative style and lots of subsantce, and thanks to one of my friends for intordcing her to me. "No Line on the Horizon" by U2 The latest by one of my favorite all time groups, showing new very good songs. For the first time since Acthung Baby I have a U2 album that l can listen to from end to end and truly enjoy. "3 Flights from Alto Nido" by Greg Laswell Greg is of the singer/songwriter variety that I love so much. A great depth of feeling and meaning in his songs that has hooked me in. Along with Ingrid one of my favorite new artists. "Abnormally Attached to Sin" by Tori Amos Toris latest featuring a new song I love called "Welcome to England" Tori has not lost her edge and is and always will be the red-haired volcano that paved the way for the new female style of singing and songwriting that opened the door for those like Ingrid herself. "Extreme Behavour" Hinder Another album I can listen to from end to endand not get tired of. Hinder has a hard-hitting and unflinching look at dysfunctionaity. So many good songs and an album I always have to play loud. just bored and having a little fun :

| this is actually a concept of mine, looking inside the inspirations for several videos and banner and other creational concepts. As an artist I like to have a basic concept and inspiration for everything I create and figured I'd explain a few here. A soft of behind the scenes look at the creative process that goes into it. So like the title says, i'll look inside about 8 of my videos, getting into why I chose the song, to the placement of particular clips and coloration.
I've done 17 videss, not alot considering some of librarys i've seen, but I started doing them years ago. Herre's the first.
#1"Fade Into You" Done April 22, 2006
Subjects: Sawyer and Kate (Kate POV) Song: "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star
The basic idea of this video came from shortly after Th Long Con (keep in mind this was when I was still a Skater hehee) And I was listening to this song and the basic idea behind it, of a woman trying to explain to a man how ahe feels, without really saying it, it seemed to fit. Sawyer had at the time seemingly stepped away from this before she had a chance to say it, or really feel it. The video was slow0paced delibaratly to sort of have a dreamy feel like the song. I especially like the part in the beginning with the waves in the background, and the part when he's tied to the tree and lifts his head just as the music lifts, both of which were sort of happy accidents.
The line "I look to and I see nothing, I look to you to see the truth." to me is what fit Kates feeling at the moment when was confroting him and confused and hurt by Sawyers actions. (Like I said, at the time, I liked her) It was done more from Kate's POV and that was the spect I wanted to play out.
It's one of my most watched videos still, and I still like it, in spite of my feelings on Kate now.
#2 "Tell Her" JUly 12, 2006
Subjects Sawyer and Kate (Sawyer POV) Song: "Tell Her This" by Del Amirtri
I've always liked this song, the idea of not being able to tell someone how you feel, but be to tell others. It was definatly a Sawyer song in that sense. I could see the scenes so clealy and they fit so perfectly with the lyrics of the song, which made this one, along with "Fade Itno you" one of my more popular vids. It was sort of the counterpart, the other side of the coin to that video. I wanted basic tranistions and slow pace as well. To sort of get the point across as simply as possible. Another one of my favorites from my Skate era.
#3 "Hands Open" January 29, 2007
Subjects: Sawyer and Kate (Sawyer POV) Song: "Hands Open" by Snow Patrol
This alnog with its predessor "Salvation" was one of the first few vids where I used alot of effects and a fast pace to do a video about Sawyer's unsuritises about Kates feeling for him (and as we find out, rightly so) And it was my last Skate video. At that point in time it was sort of a celebration and requiem at the same time. To me Sawyer was being the more grown-up and more patient of the 2 when it came to their burgening relationship. Which hit a severe snag shortly after. Alot of sort of explosion moments and outbursts shown by the disolving and sharttering effects.
The line "my tongue still misbehaves and it keeps didding my own grave" was so Sawyer when I heart it, that had to use it. I think it was a fair description of his feelings with her, just wanting her to open to him. Which of course she never really did.
#4 "Away From Me" April 20, 2009
Subject: Shannon Song: "Away From Me" by Evanessence
I had bee looking for quite a bit for a song for Shannon that hadn't been used, and found this one while playing around Evannessence songs, a group i've used before. Amy Lee's lyrics convey a depth of feeling that is rare, and the emotion she puts into tranlates very well into videos. I wanted to show Shannon's struggle with her past and her attempt to move on, and the savation she sees in Sayid, who offers her a chance to put it away and move forward without judgement.
The line "I'm walking now, to find myself in the shadow of a lie i've created' to me summed up the feeling quite accurately. By showing scenes with Boone it shos she regrets the mistakes she's made, especially after his death. And as usual with the exception of "Gone" I choose not to focus on her death but instead her life.
This video is import for another reason, because it was the first one used with alot of my own homemade clips, so I was especially proud of it, it marked a turning point in alot of ways.
#6 "Somebody Who Cares" May 28, 2009
Subjects: Charlie and Nikki (very AU) Song: "All You Wanted" by Michelle Branch
The idea for this video came from the RP I was involved in and hearing the song on radio at work, and it struck me as a song I could use in a vid like this. The basic concept being that Nikki wasnts to save Charlie from himself and basically loves him from afar. It was the first time I ever tried a real AU and it worked very well, finding alot of scenes of Nikki and Charlie that went together. I especially like the parts where she collapses and the part where she's digging, making it look like she burying his drugs. To me it played out perfectly and it looks like they could've been in those scens together.
On hearing the line "So I tried to be like you and I got swept away' caused images of Nikki looking at the drugs and then running away undrer the influene of them. It sort of had a base in our RP storyline and I know that anyone who hadn't read anything in our Role Play. It aas, like I said, my first AU and hopefull ynot my last.
#6 "Freedom" Oct 8, 2009
Subjectss: Sayid and Shannon (slightly AU) Song: "Honey and the Moon" by Joseph Arthur
II have always love this song I will say firsdt and formest and wanted to do a vid to for a longtime. The idea came into my head upon hearing the song agaain, realizing it was about relatioship complications, and how people can want to be in it, but are scared for whatever reasons they have. Sayid and Shannon had that problem and on our RP still do sometimes. It's very complicated when your past makes you afraid to be hurt. And I'm like 'what if they represented freedom to eachother. in some way, if they could just get past that once and for all.
I used my Vegas on this video, changing the colors slightly and the brighteness to convery a color like a pale pink with blue hues to convey emotion and feeling. And to me the way it looks has alot to do with the way it plays out with the music.
My favorite line was "When we're made of blood and rust, we're look for someone to trust without a fight." And that to m e sums up that relationship very nicely. And the video did too, it's the latest step in the eveloution of a vidder, and to me, these videos have always been a labor of love, it takes me awhile to do them and i'm proud of all of them but of these epecially and someday i'd like to branch out and do vids from other shows as well. Once I find clips that is. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do, and the next time I do this.. I'll go over some banner concepts that I enjoyed doing. Thanks for humoring me.

| Earlier this week I went to the best concert ever.. U2's 360 Tour at Gillette right here in Foxboro. And this is my review.. sorry if i'm fuzzy on the details of it a little.. Well getting inside the arena this the famous 'SpaceShip' Stage we were presented with...
' Very large with a circlular walkway that Bono could scamper around on to his hearts content. I got there early cause I wanted to hear the Opening Act Snow Patrol. I feel it's courteous to get there to listen to them. Especially consdiering how much I paid for the ticket and all. And Snow Patrol was awesome I might add, was very impressed with them.. For those of you who aren't familar with Snow Patrol, they are the band who sings the song 'Chasing Cars' a song wihich they did perform along with other songs as well like 'Hands Open' (which I did a Skate vid to many moons ago), 'Run' and 'You are All that I Have' among other songs of theirs. My favorite part of their perfomance was 'Shut Your Eyes' in which the singer had us singing the line 'shut your eyes and sing to me' which was such a hit with the crowd that they spontaaniously started singing it when Snow Patrol was wrapping up. They are an Irish band with alot of talent and humility, the lead singer consitstantly thanking the crowd for being there to hear them and thank U2 for bringing them along on the tour. It was their last night opening for U2. After that the Black Eyed Peas take over. And if you ask me, Snow Patrol is a much better opening act for a band like U2. Before U2 took the stage I took an opportunigyt to notice the wide ranging ages of the concert-goers, as well as various ethinic groups as well. It occured to me that U2 is one of those rare univeral bands that appeal all age groups and races. And all these different people got up and sang every song I swear. Once they hit the stage it was lit up like this.. The music started by playing "Major Tom" by Ziggy Stardust before U2 came on and began to light up the stage, starting with their latest hit 'Maginficent'" which to me sounds like their older stuff. They certainly seemed to be getting back to that. From there they went to "No Line on the Horizon' and I believ "Get on Your Boots" songs from their new album. That was before lauching into a rousing rendition of "Mysterious Ways" Bone jumped around the stage and ran around like he's done for 20+ yers. Playing hard-hitting favorites such as Elevation, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Vertigo, Where the Streets Have No Name and Beautiful Day, City of Blinding Lights along with the catchy Gonna Go Crazy (If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight. Also doing some deeper cuts like Until the End of the World, Stay (Faraway/ So Close) , The Unforgettable Fire and Your Blue Room. And though I can't confirm it, I swear they played Running to Stand Still as well. It was a great mix of old and new. During I Still Haven't Found What I'm looking for, Bono had us a big chunk of the lyrics without him, just holding the microphone out as we sang "I have run.. I have crawled.. I have scaled these city walls.. only to be with you.. only to be with you.. but I still haven't found what I'm looking for.." It was so wild to hear the whole crowd singing the song, word for word, evne Bone looked woeded and proud of us. As always Bono had a few message but mostly to call attention to www.one.org where money is raised to fight the ravages of AIDS in Africa. One of the most poignant and moving parts of the concert was the use of the song "MLK" aka the short dreams song,, followed by Walk On, one of my favorites. And the performace of One itself, with pictures of people fighting a good fight circling around on the 360 screaen at the top of the stage. Bone and The Edge (One of my favorite Pics) Adam Clayton surround by smok (from the perfomacne of One I belive, another favorite pic) And a pic of the whole group together in one shot... awesome :D The final encore consisted of Without Or Without You, one of my favorite songs of all time, the blue lights around the stage and of course filled with Edges maical guitar riff that always sens that chilld down my spine ehenever I hear it. He was doing his thing and in my opinion is probably one of nthe most underrated guitarists out there. The last song played was a song off their new album that is quickly bedoming one of my favorites, called "Moment of Surrender" and if you haven't heard it you should. I love the lyrics and the music in it and it was a fitting ened to a most excellent conert that features one my favorite bands ever. U2 rocked at Gillette.. they still have it after all these years. Here's the song "Moment of Surrender" by the way.. enjoy Playlist for concert (sbject to m y memory you should know, i'm sure there's a few I forgot) Magnificent No Line On the Horizon Put On Your Boots Mysterious Ways Elevation The Unforgetalbe Fire Beautiful Day UNtil The End of the World City of Blinding Lights Sunday Bloody Sunday Running to Stand Still Stay (So Far Away, So Close) Where the Streets Have No Name Your Blue Room Gonna Go Crazy (If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight) Vertigo Still Havn't Found What I'm Looking For MLK Walk On One Unknown Caller With Or Without You Moment of Surrender was such a joy going to this concert, the highlight of my week, proably of the year to be honest..

Day one: a song Day two: a picture Day three: a book/ebook/fanfic Day four: a site Day five: a youtube clip Day six : a quote Day seven : whatever tickles your fancy
ok this was hard but I finally chose one that I've always loved, coming from one of my favorite movie series ever.
"I wish none of this had happened..."
"So do all who live to see such times but it is not for them to decide.. all we have to decide is, what to do with the time that is given to us."
Frodo and Gandalf - Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring
I always loved that scen cause it was a cloassic mentor and pupil relationahip. The old time story of the wise one who passed on his wisdom shortly before he fell and left the student to do it on his own. Gandal was telling Frodo that one really wants to do this, to take the cup and make the sacrifice, but someone has to and your the one that has been chosen. That desiiny, as Ben said once is one fickle bitch

Day four: a site Day five: a youtube clip Day six : a quote Day seven : whatever tickles your fancy Ok today kids i wanted to share a cool site that lists all of the most popular urban legends.. and urban legend being something like folklore. It's basically a story that people accept as fact but in reality are just somewhat made up stories with some grain of truth. Like the the one about Pop Rocks and Coke, They are not true but are so entrenched and repeated that people accept them as fact. This a great site that compiles them, and I have an even bigger book that lists more. Its fun to read see just how many you think were true but were proven to be. http://www.snopes.com/figured i'd share it, cause it's a pretty cool site :)

| Day one: a song
Day two: a picture Day three: a book/ebook/fanfic Day four: a site Day five: a youtube clip Day six : a quote Day seven : whatever tickles your fancy Well ok it's time to sharre a book... and i guess i'll share one of my favorite books, part of a book series that i love temedndously and my friends know this. If I had to pick one book from the Dark Tower Series it would be #3 tittle The Waste Lands From the Official Site... From The Flap: The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands follows The Gunslinger and The Drawing of the Three as the third volume in this remarkable series, which well may be the most extraordinary and most imaginative cycle of tales in the English language. Inspired in part by Robert Browning's narrative poem, Stephen King has written once again of his twenty-year affair with The Dark Tower and its strange world that is both so familiar and unfamiliar to us.
Writing of his masterwork, King reveals that he is ". . .still able to find Roland's world when I set my wits to it, and it still holds me in thrall. . .more, in many ways, than any of the other worlds I have wandered in my imagination." The first volume in the cycle, The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger, tells of the haunting, mysterious character of Roland of Gilead, the last gunslinger, in a world that has "moved on." A second volume, The Drawing of the Three, picks up Roland's quest upon a deserted beach of the Western Sea. In The Waste Lands, we are joined with old acquaintances: the boy Jake who has been introduced in The Gunslinger, along with Eddie Dean and Susannah, who are so prominently featured in The Drawing of the Three. Roland's strange odyssey continues. There are new evils. . .new dangers to threaten Roland's little band in the devastated city of Lud and the surrounding waste lands, as well as horrific confrontations with Blaine the Mono, the piratical Gasher, and the frightening Tick-Tock Man. The Dark Tower cycle continues to set its author on a plane apart. What lands, what peoples has Stephen King visited that are so unreachable to us except in the pages of his unique writings?
Synopsis: Part III of an epic saga. Roland and his companions, Eddie and Susannah Dean, find the Path of the Beam that will lead them to the Dark Tower. Along the way, Roland adds two new members to his ka-tet (a group united for a specific purpose). In the decaying city of Lud, they encounter new dangers, including a sentient train that has gone insane.
Adding my own note... Lud resembles the city of New Youk right down to the dilapatated bridget they cross to get to it, which reminds Eddie, a New York native, of The George Washington Bridge. It's an eerie place.. the world resembbles ours, maybe a couple thousand years in the future after a cataclysm. Let's put it this way.. 'Hey Jude' is one of the old songs in the world.. And one more note... the Lost creators are going to afapt this sroty, i'm interested to see how it all comes out.

Day one: a song
Day two: a picture Day three: a book/ebook/fanfic Day four: a site Day five: a youtube clip Day six : a quote Day seven : whatever tickles your fancy Hmmm a song huh? Lets see what's tickling my fancy today... maybe a little Tori i'm kind of in that mood.. from her first album, and there is no real vid cause it's an album cut..just pictures in this She really does some...interesting songs and some very pretty ones and this is one of my favorites by her...about a womans sometimes complicated relationship with her mother. One of my favorite female artists, sort of paving the way for expressivve remale singers like Ingrid, probaby why i like her too. Something in those singers is very personal and everything Tori writes is personal.. it means something.
